## What Jarvis is

Jarvis is an AI teammate inside ERPNext. A person asks a real business question in ordinary language. Jarvis finds records that person is already permitted to access, explains the answer with visible evidence, prepares an appropriate next step, and waits for the person's decision when the work is consequential.

One good, reviewed result can become a reusable routine. The operating ritual is: Ask -> Verify -> Approve -> Repeat.

## The business problem

An ERP may contain the facts while a team still spends its day searching reports, copying figures, chasing follow-ups, and rebuilding the same spreadsheet. Jarvis brings the question to the permitted ERPNext records so the team can return with evidence instead of another manual consolidation.

Examples shown on the site include:

- Before a purchase: bring cash, dues, and expected receipts together and expose the records behind each figure.
- When an invoice arrives: prepare the fields, identify the mismatch, and leave the employee to check the work and the owner to approve it.
- When a reviewed task repeats: run the saved routine and bring the exception back to a person.

## Product flow

1. Ask one real question in the Jarvis chat.
2. Read an answer that links back to the permitted ERPNext records behind it.
3. Add working documents through File Box when the answer needs more context.
4. Review important proposed work through Approval Board before it changes the ERP.
5. Teach reusable Skills in plain language.
6. Turn approved multi-step work into a Macro and pause again where judgment is needed.
7. Build a team habit: owners set up Jarvis, employees ask for it, and both begin with one real task.

## Trust and control

- Existing ERPNext roles and permissions remain the boundary.
- Evidence remains visible so a person can inspect the source records behind an answer.
- Deletes, cancellations, amendments, email, bulk work, and other consequential actions wait for a person.
- The administrator chooses and connects the AI services available to the workspace.
- The public website can be used without analytics. Google Analytics loads only after explicit visitor consent.
- A YouTube player, when configured, uses youtube-nocookie.com and is created only after the visitor presses play.

The product principle is: People own judgment. Software owns repetition.

## AI service cost

Jarvis supports connecting an existing paid ChatGPT Plus or Pro account without requiring a separate API key. Jarvis adds permitted ERPNext context, visible evidence, and human review around the connected AI service. The administrator controls the service used by the workspace.

## Open-source boundary

The Jarvis app installed on a self-hosted or Frappe Cloud ERPNext site is open source and can be inspected. Jarvis's agentic loop runs in a separate container hosted and operated by Aerele Technologies. That hosted container is not open source.

## Installation

On Frappe Cloud, add Jarvis as a custom app to a compatible private or dedicated bench, install it on the site, and continue through Jarvis onboarding.
